yellow orbs are used to increase the lvl of magichange skills, or to unlock a character slot for equipping a magichanged monster.

You can magichange by using yellow book or diamond of the same color of the monster you want to magichange ( you can earn them on dayly quests under material tab, but those stage are hard ). Once you transformed the monster in an equip it is forever. Soon I will add a complete guide with images, sorry for the delay!
